Our Week!

Sunday

We spent our Sunday evening with our friends the Brinkley’s. We went over for a good dinner, and great conversation! The kids played til they dropped! Thanks again Trisha for having us!

Monday

We have had so much fun spending time with our friends Ben and Ella. They have been coming over twice a week this summer, and my girls look forward to it every single time. Today we went to see a free movie. Our friends Cara and Evan met us there. Afterwards we all went and jumped in the pool!

Tuesday

Today we celebrated Grandma’s birthday! Grandma and Papaw came over for dinner, fun in the pool, and birthday cake!

Wednesday

Today we spent another fun day with Ben and Ella. We had lunch at Chick–fil-a, and came home and swam some more! Later in the day, Cara came over to spend the night with Anna.

Thursday

We enjoyed a day of rest today. Anna was tired from staying up late the night before, and we just needed a break! Lucy ended up being invited to spend the day with her friend Nalani, and got to tag along to her ballet class.

I found Lucy’s Ken doll looking a little less than manly today. We got him for her for Christmas, to add a little masculinity to her Barbie family. It looks like that didn’t work out.

 

I also found Oliver in the dryer today. Rose got jealous of me taking a picture of him, pushed him out, and got in herself. I’d say she’s rotten if she wasn’t so darn cute!

Friday

Today we spent another Friday with Grandma. We had lunch at Emma’s Tea Room, which was wonderful as usual!

We came home and Grandma and the girls jumped in the pool!

We were invited tonight to an “Olympic Opening Ceremonies Party” at our friends the Sexton’s house.

We made a Team USA cake that was red, white and blue on the inside. Everyone who came brought foods from different countries. There were even olympic games in the back yard. They jumped hurdles, threw the javeline, and many more! They even made torches, and Olympic medals! It was one awesome night! Thanks again Christi, Dave, Cara and Evan for inviting us to such an awesome party!

We have had a fantastic week! It’s hard to believe our summer is going by so fast. We only have three weeks left to pack in as much summer fun as possible!!!
