We found out about Who-Fest right after Panoply, so Danny came home, applied, and was accepted! He got to work, and painted some beautiful pieces to take with us! (We had a lot of other pieces too, but these were the ones he did this week)
We hit the road super early Saturday morning, so that we could arrive around eight to set up our tent.
The park was so beautiful. Downtown Chattanooga is a really neat place, with a really great art community!
Our tent backed up to the center of the park where kids and families flew kites, played ball and just had fun all day!
When we got to our hotel (Which was just your average, plain hotel room) the girls just went crazy! They were so excited to be staying there. Lucy kept saying “Why is this place so fancy??”
I wish as adults, we could find such joy in such small things!!
I woke up mothers day morning to the most beautiful mothers day cards, and hugs from my sweet girls!
We knew Saturday that they were predicting thunderstorms for Sunday (80% chance), so Saturday evening, we packed up all of our paintings and just left our tent in case it got rained out.
Sure enough, we woke up to thunder, lightning, and rain. The show was a no-go!
We went back to the park, grabbed our tent, and hit the road!
Saturday had been very successful for us, and it was mothers day, so we were totally ok with going home early to see our mama’s for mothers day!
We went home first to see our Rosie, and unload the van, then took off to see Ma-Maw and have some yummy lunch, and then to Grandma’s house for a yummy dinner. I forgot my camera when we left, so I have no pictures of mothers day!!! Can you believe that???
You’ll have to use your imagination!
Well, even without pictures we have the best moms in the world! We love you guys so much, and would not be who we are today without you guys!
Happy Mothers Day!

Any hotel is a fancy way to spend the weekend for kiddos. :) Love Danny's paintings!
