Monday: We lounged around all morning and then headed to the mall so Anna could visit Build-a-Bear and get her weenie dog stuffed that Kenzie had given her for her birthday.
When we got home, the girls decided that it was time to get in the pool. I tried to explain to them that it was probably too cold, but they needed to try it out for themselves! They didn’t last very long, but they had fun splashing around!
Tuesday: We got to visit Daddy at work for the first time. The girls loved getting to see what he is doing all day, and meet all of the nice people that he has been working with! We also got to enjoy a yummy Mexican lunch!
When we got home, Anna enjoyed an afternoon play date with her friend Cara.
Wednesday: We hung around the house most of the day, the girls played outside and just enjoyed some downtime. Ma-Maw came over in the afternoon to spend the night with us, so mom and dad could slip away for a date night!
Of course it was nowhere near as good as the book, but I still LOVED it!! Can’t wait to see the other two when they come out! If you haven’t read the books yet………they are AWESOME!!
Thursday: We hit the dollar movies with Kenzie to see “Chipwrecked”. It was the third time we had seen it, but an afternoon out for three dollars can’t be beat!!
That evening, we met Grandma and Pa-Paw and Jon-David and Gale for Anna’s second birthday dinner. She chose Red Robin. Yummmmm
This was Anna’s face when they came out to sing happy birthday. She was so embarassed, she froze up!!
Friday: We spent another lazy morning lounging around the house. In the afternoon, Daddy came home from work early and surprised us with the most beautiful flowers and Reeses Cups!
Anna was invited to spend the night with Cara, so she packed up her American Girl Katie, and off they went!
Lucy and I spent the rest of the afternoon out in the backyard, just enjoying this beautiful weather
(and letting daddy get a little painting done)
Saturday: After picking Anna up from Cara’s, we headed out to go see Grandma and Pa-Paw. We had to squeeze every ounce of fun we could out of this spring break!!
Sunday: After we picked up the girls from Grandma and Pa-Paws house, we spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool with all the neighborhood kids. It was our first official “Pool Day”! They had so much fun!!!
It was a super duper fun spring break!! Back to school tomorrow! All of this sunshine has us counting down the days til summer!!
