Well….It is 110 years old, so I guess I can’t call it new, but it is new to us!
We were so excited to get a call from Grandma Saturday morning telling us that she had been out to buy our eggs, and while she was there, they said “Do you know anybody who needs a piano?”she said “Um yes, yes I do!” It is a piano that they have had since their son was a little boy, and they had bought it from a family member, who had bought it from another family member, who had bought it from a church where it had sat for years. We knew it would be heavy, but we decided to go give it a try! Paw and Danny managed to get it loaded, and we drove very carefully home. We had planned on pulling the truck in the garage, until we could get some help to unload it, but quickly realized that it would not fit. We didn’t have anyone to help, and it could not stay outside overnight, so Danny and I got that piano out of the back of his truck, and into our house. Do not ask me how, but we did. We might be a little crazy. It is not the most ornate piano, but it has a Beautiful sound, and my girls are so excited. Anna always gets up before everyone else and practices piano, and when she practiced on the keyboard she would turn it down. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to lay in my bed and listen to the beautiful sound of her playing the piano every morning. I kid you not, even at 6am (really) it is absolutely beautiful!
We found its serial number, and did some research and found out that it was manufactured in 1902, possibly 1901. It is pretty amazing to think of all the beautiful music it has played in its 110 years. Thank you Grandma for such a wonderful gift!
We were also very excited to go see the chickens who give us our wonderful eggs we eat every day!
She told me that their hen house opens up in the back and they just roam free!

I love that piano. It looks like the piano I grew up listening to in church. Why didn't you call...Keith could have helped!!
