Anna set a goal for herself this year, to be in the 100 point club at school. It is for kids who get 100 AR points within a school year. They have to read A LOT of books, and take A LOT of tests to reach this goal. each book counts for a half a point, and chapter books count for 1. She has worked so hard, and has reached her goal BEFORE Christmas! It only took her half of the school year!!!
We couldn’t be more proud of her! When she came home from school today, she told us that they announced her name on the Challenger morning show, and presented her and one other little boy with a special t shirt. They were the first two 2nd graders to join the club this year!!! WOW! I am a proud mama! We thought that after she reached her goal, she would slow down with the test taking, but no, not my girl. She has decided that she wants to have the highest score in the 2nd grade at the end of the year! I have no doubt that she wont be able to reach this goal too!!
Go Anna!
