Lucy’s First Field Trip!

Today was Lucy’s very first field trip! They went to visit our local fire department, and then for a picnic and fun at the park.

No sooner than we arrived at the fire station, they got a call, and had to leave for an emergency! We watched them pull away thinking “There goes our field trip”! The kids were excited to see them in action. They had their lights on and everything!

We loaded up the kids and took them to the park to play. They called us about 20 minutes later and told us it was a false alarm, and we were welcome to bring the kids back for their tour. So we loaded them all up, and went back to the fire station!

After we finished our tour of the station, we headed back to the park for a picnic! (Luckily everything is very close by around here!)

Lucy was very excited to get to hang out with her buddy Campbell. They were really close last year when they were in the same class, and even though they are in different classes this year, they love to see each other every chance they get!

Lucy wasn’t feeling 100% (and neither was I), but we really enjoyed the day. The weather was perfect, and we had a great time!
