Lucy started feeling a little yucky Sunday evening, and woke up at 3 am with a fever of 104.6! Neither of my kids have ever had a fever that high!! I immediately gave her a full dose of Motrin, followed by an ice cold bath (which she did not enjoy at all), and within 15 minutes, her fever came down to 101, so I knew I didn’t need to take her to the emergency room. I took her into the doctor on Monday, where they tested her for strep, flu, and poked her little finger to do a blood test. They ended up saying it was just a yucky virus!!
I kept her home from school on Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday she was ready to go back, virus free!
Unfortunately…….Mom woke up Friday morning not feeling well at all…..Hopefully it will pass through me quickly, and stop with me!!
