Pensacola here we come!

When we found out that our power could be out for up to a week, we decided to head to Pensacola to visit Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Glen. They were strongly recommending on the radio that if you had somewhere to go, please go. We packed a quick bag, and hit the road.

We found out that Rosie is a great traveler! She loved it!

We got to Pensacola at around 10:30 Thursday night, so we got some quick lovin, and got the girls to bed, so they could enjoy the next day.

We woke up Friday morning and headed to the beach!!

When we left the beach, we had a little mishap with the sand when we tried to turn around!

Luckily there were some spring breakers with a “monster truck” (as Anna and Lucy called it) to pull us out.

Thank goodness the van survived!

Lucy gave it up after that!

We spent the rest of our visit enjoying Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Glen! They were so wonderful to let us come stay, and feed us and show us such a good time!

We headed home on Monday morning, when we heard that our power had been turned back on. We were thankful for a safe drive home.

Thank you Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Glen, for having us! We love you guys so much! And we can’t wait to see you again later this summer!

*Although we were away, our family and friends were never far from our thoughts. We were very much aware that everyone was at home with no power. We missed them and  prayed for them everyday, along with all of the people that had been affected by the storm. It felt good to get back home, and back to the reality that was at home. We are going to continue to pray, and to help in any way possible. Even if that is just donating clothes and toys.*
