We started the day off the same way we do on every birthday…..we wake the girls up with the Happy Birthday song!
Then she hopped out of bed for her birthday breakfast! The girls always get to choose whatever they want to have for breakfast on their birthday. Anna chose chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and sprinkles!
We had to hurry and get ready for school, Anna was getting to go on a field trip……..on her birthday!! She was so excited!!
For her field trip, they went to Burritt On The Mountain. It was so much fun. They started out in the outdoor classroom, and then went on a treasure hunt!!
Then they went to see all the barnyard animals! There were cows, miniature horses, chickens and a rooster, and a giant pig! Anna even got to pet a goat named Abby!
It was cold and windy, but was still a beautiful day!
After school, it was time for the family to come over and celebrate Anna’s birthday! We grilled hamburgers, ate birthday cake, and had fun!
The Cottingham clan! Hunter didn’t get to come, but I definitely couldn’t leave him out of this bunch!!
Almost everybody came (We missed you Hunter, Uncle Joey, and Grandpa and Grandma Joan!) The only one who escaped my camera was Uncle Rod!!
Oliver thought about coming…….but in the end decided it was far too much work!
The highlight of the night was Pa-Paw climbing way up the tree to try to save the boomerang and basketball!! The whole gang ended up pitching in!!
Anna even made thank you notes for everyone!
Thanks again everybody for coming and making Anna’s birthday so special! She is a lucky girl to be so loved!!
We ended the night with another tradition. On the girls birthdays every year, we always read the book “Happy Birthday To You” by Dr. Suess (Thanks Aunt Shanen!)
When we finish the book, they have to sign their name and age each year on the back page. It is so cute to see how far Annas handwriting has come along!
Its hard to believe that my baby is 7 years old! How has 7 years gone by so fast!
We love you Anna! More and more every day! You are growing into such a wonderful, beautiful young lady. You make our hearts smile! Happy 7th Birthday sweet girl!
